Golden Plains Wind Park is located west of Melbourne in Australia and will be one the world’s largest onshore wind farms, once it is completed in 2025. The project speeds up Australia’s energy transition and will consist of 122 Vestas V162-6.2 MW turbines and appertaining infrastructure plus a five km long transmission line which connects the project to the grid. EIFO is the largest lender of the project while the rest of the loan comes from the Australian fund Clean Energy Finance Corporation, KfW IPEX Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Westpac Banking Corp, Mizuho Bank and Bank of China.
